A Lavish Palm Springs Wedding for Olympic Swimmer Ryan Lochte and model Kayla Rae Reid

Kayla and Ryan’s Palm Springs wedding reflected their sense of style and love for family, and we were fortunate enough to be apart of their wedding alongside a fantastic creative team. Their sweet son Caiden was the ring bearer, who was just old enough to walk down the floral-lined aisle by himself.

The outdoor ceremony was set underneath the sweeping trees of Morrow Ranch. After a big, boisterous kiss, the two processed down the aisle to “September” by Earth, Wind and Fire (seasonally appropriate for their nuptials). Guests were greeted with shots of tequila in salt tumblers and enjoyed an alfresco feast of Italian and Mexican favorites, hand-selected by the couple. The design and planning team at Pure Lavish Events created an elevated yet rustic ambiance for guests. The string lights above the tables provided a romantic touch as the sun set.

The two embraced one another in a touching dance as husband and wife to John Legend’s “You & I” before a playful cake cutting and bouquet toss. Friends and family danced to the sounds of our top DJ mixes and classic ballads underneath the stars. The night ended with Ryan and much of the bridal party in the pool…of course!
