String lighting is a common term used when speaking about both bistro lights for weddings and events and twinkle lights. These types of overhead string lighting have become extremely popular for indoor and outdoor weddings and receptions alike.  Bistro lights are strands of individual bulbs with varied spacing in between. They are best used for functional light but set a romantic mood. We typically recommend these for outdoor weddings and celebrations but they will work inside for certain situations. Twinkle lights (don't actually twinkle - think Christmas lights) are much tinier bulbs and much closer together, typically providing a canopy style of light.
