A Loving Vow Renewal for NBA player James Nunnally and Jennifer at The Ritz-Carlton Laguna

We were completely honored to be apart of this special soiree at The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel in Dana Point, CA. James is a professional basketball player (Houston Rockets and Minnesota Timberwolves), and his wife, Jennifer, opted to highlight their continued commitment to family with a luxurious vow renewal surrounded by those who played such an important role in their life together. In 2016, the two were married in San Diego just a few days after their engagement, so this was their opportunity to have the bash they always envisioned.

Friends and family watched in awe as Jenn processed down the aisle to “Perfect Duet” by Ed Sheeran, towards James who was standing underneath a stunning arch covered in white flowers. The wedding design and planning team at A Good Affair brought glamour and contemporary style to the Pavilion at The Ritz-Carlton, using a dramatic red, white and metallic design palette. Guests were overwhelmed by the effervescent smell of hundreds of roses as they entered the reception. To bring warmth to the room, we worked closely with the entire creative team to ensure our up lights complemented their aesthetic in a subtle way. We also spotlighted J+J’s initials with a custom dance floor monogram, which is a unique lighting enhancement for many couples celebrating at a resort or hotel.

Our master DJ re-introduced the two as husband and wife, who swayed onto the dance floor to “Brown Eyes” by Destiny’s Child (a throwback favorite). Jennifer and James wanted to treat their guests to a true party - and our custom mix of Beyoncé, Boyz II Men and hip-hop classics kept everyone on their toes throughout the night.
